Thomas Traguth Wessels Political Sciences Europe CIFE

Thomas Traguth teaches the courses Explaining the Institutional Evolution of the EU: Drivers and Barriers together with Wolfgang Wessels. He also is responsible for the professional track of Political Science with Formats of Professional Practice: Working in the EU Political Arena in the second year of the Executive Master in EU Studies.

Thomas Traguth, MA (oxon), MA (College of Europe, Bruges), studied philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Oxford and European politics and administration at the College of Europe in Bruges. He has worked as a lecturer at the faculty of Social Science, Economics and Management and researcher at the Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Cologne and was project manager of the EU-funded Ph.D. curriculum development project PEGASUS.

His teaching and research focus is on institutional and procedural reform of the EU architecture, particularly EU agencies, as well as on theories and strategies of European integration including new theoretical approaches. He has considerable experience in teaching postgraduate students and preparing teaching materials in the context of curriculum development for the Bologna Process.
