Edgar Lenski teaches the courses European Law I - Basics of European (constitutiona) Law and European Law II - Internal Market with Ingolf Pernice in the first year in the Executive Master in EU Studies.
He studied German, French, European and International Law at the Universities of Trier, Maastricht and Berlin (Humboldt University of Berlin). From 2000 to 2002 he worked as a researcher at the Walter Hallstein-Institute for European Constitutional Law at Humboldt University of Berlin (chair Prof. Pernice). Since 2002 he is lecturer at the law faculty of Humboldt University of Berlin and at the German-Polish Law School (Humboldt University and Uniwersytet Wroclawski). Edgar Lenski teaches since 2002 as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
From 2006 - 2014 he worked as a Legal Officer with the EU Law Unit of the Federal Ministry of Economics. From 2015 to 2022, he worked in the European Policy DG of the Federal Chancellery of Germany. Since 2022, Edgar Lenski is Head of Group 51 (“General EU Affairs, Relations with EU Member States, EU External Relations”) in the Federal Chancellery of Germany. This includes i.a. the conference on the future of Europe, EU law and enlargement policy. Additionally he is a permanent research fellow at the Walter Hallstein-Institute for European Constitutional Law at Humboldt University of Berlin.
Edgar Lenski lectures within the blended-learning programme jointly with Ingolf Pernice on European Constitutional Law and on substantive law of European Union since 2004.
