Third workshop in the Hungarian capital!
The first-year Executive Master students spent the past weekend in Budapest for their third workshop together.
They were immersed into the realities of Hungarian politics with a visit to the impressive parliament building and a meeting with opposition MP Katalin Cseh of the Momentum Movement. The students discussed with her about democracy and the rule of law and how the Hungarian opposition parties can form a united front despite their differences.
They also learnt about Hungary’s current role in the European Union with Péter Balázs and András Inotai, before receiving introductions to the courses on “EU Enlargement – Experiences, Processes and Impact” with Tamás Szigetvári and Veronika Czina, “Justice and Home Affairs in the EU” with Artur Gruszczak, “Lobbying and Advocacy in the EU” with Doris Dialer and “Sustainable Development and the European Green Deal” with Gyöngyvér Gyene, featuring a ludic game on sustainable development leadership.
All this was topped off with a delicious meal on the banks of the River Danube in the presence of the professors and former students based in the Hungarian capital.
Until next time in Brussels in July!
