Closing Workshop in Nice

Congratulations to the 2024 Cohort!

The workshop in Nice from 5-7 July 2024 marked the last milestone for the students of the Executive Master in EU Studies.

Starting with an interdisciplinary session on the Strategic Agenda 2024-2029 after the European elections with experts Ralf Kanitz, András Inotai, Mattias Wendel, Tamás Szigetvári, Thomas Traguth and Wolfgang Wessels, our students defended their Master theses and final papers.

The students presented and discussed highly topical subjects such as:

  • Industrial Policy and the European Green Deal: the EU’s Bet on Hydrogen and Carbon Capture,
  • Protecting the Fairness of European Parliament Elections via Preliminary Ruling,
  • Euroscepticism in Portugal and Portuguese Attitudes to EU Membership,
  • The EU AI Act: Key Impacts for the Public Sector and
  • The Crime of Rape: The Great Absent in the European Directive on Combatting Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence.

We would like to thank our students for their excellent work during the past two years and are looking forward to hearing what they will be up to in the future. Let’s keep in touch!
