The kick-off workshop of the CIFE Executive Master in EU Studies was held in Berlin last weekend.
It was with great pleasure that we welcomed and met our first year participants from all over the world, whose varied backgrounds are fascinating!
The agenda began with a briefing by Mr Harald Schütt, staff member of DG Europe of the German Federal Chancellery. The 1st term online courses presentation with the CIFE team and faculty staff followed, starting with Prof Wolfgang Wessels and Carsten Gerards for the course on the Institutional Architecture of the EU. Prof Ingolf Pernice, Edgar Lenski and Kai Kraus presented the course Introduction to EU law. Finally, CIFE General Director, Dr Matthias Waechter, concluded our session on the History of European integration.
The foundations have now been laid for a fruitful academic year 2019-2020!
We wish our students every success and look forward to our next 2nd term workshop in Rome!
In the meantime, we will be "e-learning" closely and intensively on these fundamental EU topics.
